Acupuncture is of wonderful healing for more than three thousand years. People always like to ask quetions about acupuncture like when it began, who discovered or created it. In textbooks or chinese folklore, you would see some pure empirical explanations like healing after accidental human body hits, or trigger points-like sore spots came and gone with some illness. But how to connect dots to a line(merridian), link lines to inside organs, that might or must need a lot helps from anatomical knowledge, philosophy, and Qigong.
We all use very fine disposable acupuncture needles, and some patients complained about their friends who would be too hard to be convinced that acupuncture is a very relaxing procedure.
With acupuncture, you often could see some surprising healing results

Special Notes from Dr. Chen:
Stress
Stress is the blocking or stagnated situation in Chinese medicine. Due to the blocking or stagnation, the body is unbalanced. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs can just open up the blocking or remove the stagnation nicely, that is why acupuncture and Chinese herbs are so good for it. Usually, after one or two acupuncture treatments, the patient will feel the difference. According to modern medical science, many diseases are caused by or related to stress. That is why it is so important to get rid of stress as soon as possible.
Infertility
Infertility for the male side is due to sexually dysfunction or due to a low number of sperm or poor motility, etc. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs can improve these significantly. Of course, if there is no sperm, that will be very difficult. There are many reasons for female infertility. One of the common reasons is an irregular period. Because of the irregular period, the timing of having baby becomes very difficult. The other problems are tubing blocking, fibroid, syst, malfunction of the endocrine system, etc., to name a few. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs successfully treat these problems, and are therefore very successful in treating infertility.
IVF/IUI supporting
We have found that many of our patients have tried either IVF or IUI many times without any success. The most number of times they have tried are five IVF.s and several IUI.s! According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), these procedures have failed because the patient's body was not properly prepared. The patients were so eager, that they simply went ahead with these procedures without first preparing their body. In our office, we first check what is going on with your body and then give you suggestions about diet, lifestyle, etc. We even need to tell you how to watch your body carefully and what you need to do besides acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatment.
